A jobs report on the positive side and other good vibes helped the major stocks averages post modest gains Friday and the Nasdaq composite to post a 2.5% advance. The Dow Jones industrials rose 47.12 points to 10572.49. The Nasdaq climbed 48.04 points to 1929.67. The S&P 500 was up 0.6%, 6.77 points, to close at 1164.30.
