MADRID (AFX) - Total household spending adjusted for inflation rose 6.42 pct in the fourth quarter from the third, and was up 4.87 pct from a year earlier, the National Statistics Institute (INE) said. Total household spending on food, drink and tobacco climbed 5.49 pct in the fourth quarter from the third and 1.79 pct from a year earlier. Total spending on other items rose 6.88 pct in the fourth quarter from the third and 5.77 pct from a year earlier, INE said.
