The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended down 21.73 points or 0.21% at 10,479.84, managing to reduce intraday losses, which extended to nearly 147 points at the weakest point of the session, after weak Philadelphia Fed survey data. The Nasdaq Composite index partly retraced Wednesday's losses to end up 35.96 points or 1.96% at 1,868.83 The S&P 500 closed up 1.74 point or 0.15% at 1,153.59.
